Porsche considering making a street-legal RS Spyder!?

The last insane and awesome Porsche that you could legal drive on the road was the Carerra Gt. Well, now it seems that Porsche is considering making a road version of their RS Spyder American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race car.

The RS Spyder produces 485-503hp (362-375kW) from its 3.4L V8 engine and weighs just 1,705lb (775kg). The LMP2-class RS Spyder has taken class or overall victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Le Mans, in addition to other races and the 2006-2008 LMP2 ALMS manufacturer's championships.

This would definietly be one heritage worth owning and driving on the road with. If a new RS Spyder were to become street-legal, many speculate that it would push around 400hp (298kW) and weight about 2,200lb (1,000kg). Furthermore, it looks like the carbon fiber tub chassis and running gear would remain on the streer-legal version, too.
